Don’t destroy the Solway for no reason
Last updated at 08:39, Friday, 30 January 2009
Who in their right mind would want to destroy the Solway (The Cumberland News, January 23) when majority of people in Britain do not believe in ‘manmade’ global warming?
Facts – the world has been heating up for 10,000 years since the last ice age.
The ‘hockey stick’ produced by scientists has been proved not to work.
Governments and big business are making billions out of scaring the public hence high heating bills for all.
The £200,000 would come out of tax payers’ money and council tax.
The majority of workers for Cumbria County Council and Dumfries & Galloway Council are not elected so cannot speak for the people.
Everyone who knows the Solway knows about the silt so universities outside the area have been asked!
