A Go Ape experience is curiously liberating. Being entirely responsible for your own safety, swinging through trees, screaming at the top of your voice, laughing a lot more than usual, and landing upside down in muddy pits. The Grizedale Forest course celebrated its fifth birthday in March, and was nominated in the Tourism Experience category in the Cumbria Tourism Awards 2008.Tristram was a finalist in the Entrepreneur of the Year category at the National Business Awards, held in London earlier this week. “It was nice to be nominated for it, because the awards are based on ethics and not just about making money,” he says.
