The week’s celebrations followed a successful school harvest festival where produce was distributed to local charities

On display has been an exhibition of old pictures and memorabilia showing the history of the rural primary school.

Headteacher Sue Hatt said: “It is 40 years since the school moved to this site, and we are going to keep the theme running throughout the school year.

“There have been a lot of changes at the school, so it is a good chance for our old pupils to come back to the school and see what’s gone on. It is very significant for the school, as for the last couple of years there has been an acting head, and people have been treading water a little bit, but the big emphasis of this celebration has been on the future.”
