POLICE in Cumbria have responded to concerns raised about speeding.
Officers targeted parts of Carlisle and conducted speed checks to ensure drivers were traveling at the correct speed.
Some drivers were stopped and talked to about improving their safety on the roads.
A spokesperson said: "Following concerns raised by residents on Brampton Road regarding speeding vehicles, PC's 2608, 3447 and PCSO 5431 have been conducting speed monitoring checks in the area.
"Several drivers were stopped and given appropriate advice regarding road safety and maintaining the correct speed for the road.
"We will continue to target those who break the speed limit and put other road users at risk."
