FORMER Radio Cumbria breakfast presenter Helen Skelton has landed a full-time job reporting and presenting on national children’s TV news show Newsround.
Helen, 24, joined Newsround earlier this year and has now been given a contract until October.
During her job, Helen has mingled with Kylie Minogue, Take That, Girls Aloud and Rhianna at the Brits.
Helen, originally from Kirkby Thore, near Penrith, and the sister of Gretna footballer Gavin Skelton, said: “It is the best job. I get to do things I really love and go to such interesting places – it’s just not like work.”
