The 10-minute party face

If you are going straight to a Christmas party from work and don’t have time to start your makeup from scratch, you can work some deeper shades over your daytime look to turn it into an evening party look.
Simply take a dark eyeshadow such as Clarins Totally Black eye mono and using a brush gently sweep over the eye sockets. Concentrate the colour on the outer corners and blend in to create a smoky eye.
Add lots of black eyeliner and lashings of black mascara to finish the eyes. Keep the rest of your make up as your natural day look to keep the dramatic eye balanced.
If you don’t have time to create the smoky eyes then the quickest way to transform your look is by applying a bright lipstick. And there’s nothing more could be more festive than a bright red!
Clarins Red is a deep, Christmassy colour to suit most skin tones. If the idea of a bright red is too daunting you can always blot it slightly with a tissue and then apply a clear lip gloss.
