Ensure that you are properly equipped before setting out on a walk. That means you need to take with you:

  • Sufficient food and drink
  • Waterproofs
  • A map and compass
  • A small first aid kit
  • Spare warm clothing, hat and gloves

When out on a walk, follow the country code. This includes guarding against risk of fire, fastening all gates, keeping your dog under control, using public paths on farmland and taking home all of your litter.
