Around the clubs

ASPATRIA YFC: Well done to those who helped win the stockjudging cup at the West Cumbria Rally. Thanks to David and Anne Bell of Low Blaithwaite for hosting the mock auction. The next meeting is on May 6 at Kenneth’s.

CALDBECK YFC: The next meeting is on Tuesday at Matthew Rudding, 7pm.

KIRKLINTON YFC: The next meeting is on Tuesday at Fir Ends School at 7.30pm. Could everyone involved with the field day attend.

LONGTOWN YFC: Many thanks to the Coulthard family for hosting the club rally. The next meeting is at Longtown Auction on May 6 at 7.30pm.

RAUGHTON HEAD YFC: Thank you to the Brough family for hosting the stock judging. Results: fat lambs – 1, Neil Brough; dairy cows – 1, Ian Holliday.

Good luck in the national finals of the entertainment competition on Sunday.

Next meeting on May 6 at Gaitsgill.

WIGTON YFC: On Tuesday we judged four store cattle by kind permission of John and Liz Peile, Pasture House, master judge Stephen Peile.

The next meeting is on May 8 at 7.30pm at the Stocksman. Everyone to attend.
