Vintage club to stage 25th annual rally

HETHERSGILL Vintage Club will hold its 25th annual rally at Carlisle Airport next week.

This year’s event will celebrate 50 years of the Massey Ferguson tractor with a special class of 40 vintage vehicles.
The rally, on May 4, will feature 1,200 exhibits including steam engines, farm implements, classic cars and antiques, plus a craft tent. Organiser Norman Elliott said: “The interest in vintage vehicles is growing and they’re becoming more valuable. We’ve had to close entries already because we’re full.”
Tickets cost £5 and will be available on the gate from 8.30am or in advance from Mr Elliott on 01228 675336.
