Good sale of farm machinery

THE retirement of Dixon Tailford prompted a sale of his farm implements and machinery at Willow Hill, Kirklinton.

There was a good turnout of buyers from across the region at last Friday’s sale held by Cumberland and Dumfriesshire Farmers’ Mart.

An H registration Same 90 tractor sold for £5,600 and a Deutz Fahr tractor (02 Reg) sold for £20,800.

Other prices were: Ford 4600 tractor with loader, £2,700; Claas baler, £1,200; bale wrapper, £2,300; straw chopper, £1,200; haybob, £580. INPUTS: Deutz Fahr tractor (02 Reg), £20,800; McHale bale wrapper, £2,400; Kuhn FC2800 mower, £1,550; Bale trailer, £140.
