THE final competition of the North West Sea Angling League season took place on Crosscanonby beach after dark with 39 anglers – 34 seniors and five juniors – fishing one and a half hours before low water and two and a half hours after in flat calm conditions.

WORKINGTON Sea Angling Club fished at Crosscanonby last week on a small tide. The sea was rough but flattened off. Fourteen anglers caught rockling and whiting, and again no cod showed.
