MEMBERS of the Lakeland Studio of Dance and Performing Arts have been rehearsing for their annual Christmas production.
About 110 members of the Branthwaite school are gearing up for their performance of Sleeping Beauty and the Time Travellers at the Carnegie Theatre, Finkle Street, Workington, on December 6 and 7.
The members taking part are aged between three and 50.
Principal Avril Crellin said they had been working hard and were looking forward to the performance.
She said: “The show will include dancing, comedy acting and singing.
Kim Inglis, from Tyne Tees Television, will be narrating.
“It starts in the 31st century. We then travel through various parts of the galaxy to the 17th century where we meet Princess Rose.
“The costumes and feel of the performance are opulent. We have hired the sets from Border Studios and they look great.
“The costumes vary from futuristic to the traditional.”
