Water power way forward

It is great that schools are teaching pupils about alternative energy but hopefully they are also being more realistic about building a windfarm for the school.
Castle Carrock is better off than most schools owning their own agricultural land but as the school sits in an AONB [area of outstanding national beauty] it has one of the largest RSPB reserves in the country on its doorstep. It also in one of Europe’s low flying areas.
None of these enjoy windfarms.
But the school sits by a reservoir pumping gallons of water out every day to feed the area and has a stream running past the school.
Maybe these same teachers and governors should be looking at hydro power.
