A TYNEDALE enterprise expert has joined a national project to offer professional advice to businesses across the UK.
Mark Reed from Tynedale Enterprise Network has joined other pioneers of community enterprise across the country to introduce the Make Your Mark Enterprising Places Network (EPN).
The network will bring together those who have transformed their local areas through encouraging enterprise, enabling them to share their knowledge and expertise.
It will work to create, maintain and encourage entrepreneurship during the economic downturn, and aims to become a valuable resource to other areas who wish to replicate some of these successful schemes.
Tynedale was one of the first places in the country to be invited to join EPN as part of its commitment to encouraging the development of enterprising places in communities across the UK.
Tynedale Enterprise Network has been recognised for its success in this field, particularly by engaging with small businesses in remote areas and by nurturing the entrepreneurial talents of young people.
Being a member of EPN will allow Tynedale to share useful information and inspirational success stories to other local communities.
Mr Reed said that the role Tynedale can play in EPN is pivotal.
“The best thing about the network is that it will link other groups who take a similar approach to enterprise as we do,” he said.
“This way we can learn from their successes and also offer experience ourselves.”
