We must not take Accrington tie for granted, warns Carlisle youth boss

Coach Eric Kinder says complacency is his side’s biggest opponent tonight as Carlisle United bid to reach the FA Youth Cup third round.
United travel to Accrington Stanley (kick-off 7pm) on the back of a convincing 3-1 victory over the same opponents in the league on Friday, prolific striker Andy Cook grabbing a hat-trick.
And while Kinder is confident a similar showing will bring his under-18 side victory, he warned his players they cannot take their opponents for granted.
“If we don’t do it right, and if the boys are over-confident, they will get their backsides kicked,” said Kinder, whose side will host Stockport or Crewe in the third round if they progress tonight.
“We have beaten Accrington twice in the league, and as long as we are not complacent and we perform as we have done in the past couple of months, we are capable of getting through to the third round.
“The Youth Cup is a great competition and we want to get to the third round just as the first team do in the FA Cup.”
Kinder rested four key players on Friday but Matt Duffy, Alex Mitchell, Jonny Blake and Shaun Law should all come back into the side tonight.
United are expected to be unchanged from the side that saw off Hartlepool in the first round with 18-goal Cook spearheading the Blues’ attack. “If I am honest, he didn’t have a particularly good game on Friday,” added Kinder. “But he is always a threat.”
James Wood suffered a knee injury in Friday’s win and will be replaced on the bench by Mark Sloan.
Probable starting XI: Mitchell, Lakeland, Aldred, Cleary, Duffy, Law, Blake, Davison, Tinnion, Cook, Bowman. Subs: Seaton, Sloan, McDougall, Gillespie, Swinglehurst.
