Cockermouth B 0

Bigrigg 1

This was another close encounter with both these U10 teams playing good football.

Cockermouth pinned Bigrigg into their own half for long spells but were unable to convert their chances into goals.

Ronan Kingsbury and Ryan Gorley both went close in the first half but it was Bigrigg who broke the deadlock with a well-placed shot from Callum Doran which found the bottom corner of Jordan Eland’s goal.

Cockermouth pressed Bigrigg back again in the second half but were again unable to find the back of the net.

Dearham A 3

Whitehaven Ams B 0

This was the top-of-the-table clash in the U10 division and once again Dearham saw off one of their main contenders with a resounding 3-0 victory.

Dearham took control from the start and laid siege to the Whitehaven goal.

And it wasn’t long before Macauley Hannah seized his chance, finding the back of the net with a well-taken shot.

At half-time the score remained 1-0 with Dearham looking dangerous.

Dearham continued the second half in complete control with the visitors rarely threatening.

After some good build-up play the outstanding Hannah unleashed a ferocious left-footed volley almost taking out the back of the net.

Dearham’s Robbie Holt then added a third just before full time to give them a deserved win and put them back on top of the division.
