NORTHSIDE, Grasslot Welfare and Salterbeck are the only unbeaten sides in the Workington and District Sunday League.
Northside were involved in the premier division’s top versus bottom confrontation and they didn’t have things all their own way, but eventually won 6-3.
Gareth O’Leary (2), Andrew Calarco, Michael Pickering, Kyle Galea and Jamie Williamson scored the goals for the leaders with Darren Miller, Sean Smith and Gavin Manchester replying for Dearham.
Bluebell beat Red House Athletic 4-2 in the other top-flight game with a brace each from Kevin Connolly and Kevin Holliday. Dan Foster and Liam Dowes were on target for Athletic.
Grasslot Welfare may be the only unbeaten side in division one but they are only fourth in the table.
If they had been able to hold out for another 10 seconds they would have been top because leaders FC32 scored with the last kick of the match against them to make it 4-4.
Gary Quayle, Ryan Edmondson, Tom Pardini and Scott Pears scored the goals for FC32 with Martin Sewell (2), Gav Walling and Daniel Herald responding for Grasslot.
Senhouse Street lost their unbeaten record when they were beaten 1-0 by Borough FC who have moved into third place. The only goal came from Gary Barnes.
The Well suffered their fifth straight league defeat when beaten 6-1 by Crosby. Lee Wood (3), Chris Hordley (2) and Tony Harrison netted for Crosby with Paul Skipsey on target for The Well.
There is concern in division one because William Hill were unable to field a team for their game with the Vine Bar. William Hill have been fined and docked three points.
The league is hoping they will be able to carry on and have pledged the same backing they gave to Bounty - another team from Maryport - who struggled early on last season but eventually finished the season well.
Something had to give in division two’s match of the day involving two unbeaten teams - Salterbeck and Captain Nelson.
In the end goals by John Dakers and Sean Pilling gave Salterbeck a 2-1 win. Adam Tinnion replied for Captain Nelson.
There aren’t many 0-0 draws in Sunday football but Seaton Village and Flimby served up one, with honours even after a hard-fought struggle.
Plenty of goals at Red House, however, where the home side beat bottom team Glasson Rangers 8-1.
Brendan Wilkinson was in outstanding form, grabbing six goals with Chris Peacock and Gary Hazlewood also on target. They even scored Glasson’s goal as Kieran Johnston put one past his own keeper.
Letters Inn beat Miners Arms 3-1 on and now have zero points, Sunday’s win wiping out a three-point penalty. Luke Prescott, Grant Baker and David Blackburn scored with Andrew Marshalsea netting for the Miners.
In the delayed Sunday County Cup game Yankees won 2-0 at Top House.
