Tour operator’s coaches claim industry honour

A TYNEDALE-based tour operator is offering the best fleet of top-quality buses in the country.

Tynedale Group Travel’s collection of Neoplan Starliners has been voted Livery of the Year 2008 in a competition in the UK’s leading coach industry magazine, Route One.

Operators and professionals in the industry were asked to vote on the most striking livery in the UK, and the coaches from Haltwhistle topped the poll.

Managing director Andy Sinclair said: “It is a huge honour for us at Tynedale to be voted best in the UK and a huge vote of confidence from our fellow professionals within the coach and holiday industry.

The news comes on the back of the firm securing contracts in August to escort sports stars from Yorkshire County Cricket Club, Carlisle United Football Club and Newcastle Vipers Ice Hockey Club in their Starliners.

The award will be presented in Birmingham on Wednesday at the industry’s annual awards dinner.
