Liz Stappard (56) will reach the landmark 30 years of service at Williamson’s Solicitors in December after starting out as the firm’s secretary.

Her responsibility at the firm has changed slightly over the years, but she has noticed the dramatic differences in working practice.

She said: “When I started there was just the two of us so I was able to take on more than a secretarial role.”

The firm has seen a number of changes in the past few months.

The firm’s manager Graham Craig has recently appointed his daughter Katherine (27) to work as assistant solicitor.

Williamson’s has also changed premises, relocating from Eastgate to Priestpopple to expand.
