Gillford Park edge County Cup tie

Gillford Park 2 Northbank Carlisle 1: Gillford Park hung on to book their place in the third round of the County Cup – and take the derby bragging rights in a gale-lashed game.

But they had keeper Jack Twentyman to thank after he foiled Mark Worrall from opening the scoring.

Mark Armstong opened for Park with a piledriver and Kyle Armstrong made in two with deflected goal off Andy Rogerson before Worrall hit back.

Gillford Park: Twentyman, Thompson, Butler, Taylor, M. Armstrong, Moffat, Johnstone, Riding, Skinner, Grainger and K. Armstrong.
