CALL-UP: Seaton’s Richard George who is part of the GB squad to play South Africa

He joins Millom’s Craig Wilson as the only Cumbrians included in the squad.

The duo impressed after good games in the county trial match recently between the Cumberland and Barrow district leagues.

The GB open age side will take on the Rhinos in the last match of their tour, at Hull KR on October 17.

A county side is also due to be announced this week to play the Rhinos at Craven Park on October 8.

George has played for his country in the past but has suffered numerous injury setbacks over the past couple of seasons.

But he is back to form for his club now and the selectors have sat up and taken notice.
