Being a fellow guest house owner I feel compelled to write and offer my deepest sympathy to Anita Martin of The Warren, Warwick Road (News & Star, August 5).

One can only imagine the terror she went through that day.
We guest house owners need to be more vigilant; if you smell a rat contact the police straight away.
Better to be safe than sorry.
