Jamie Hope: Danger man

There were three age groups with four teams in each group and every team played three games. The team with the most points, in their particular group, were the winners and they were presented with medals and the Pirelli Super Cup.

There were some very entertaining games and the general standard of football was quite high. Cleator Moor Celtic stood out in the Under-12 section and were deserved winners with maximum points.

Home team, Pirelli, won the under-13 section but they were given a fright in the final game by the green and white hoops of Cleator Moor Celtic who pulled back two goals to take two points off Pirelli. The home team still edged out Denton Holme having finished with one point more.

Workington Juniors were clear winners, at Under-14 level, as they won all three games scoring nine goals with only one conceded.

Aaron Kelly, midfield, Cleator Moor Celtic: Aaron had fine positional sense and he used the ball intelligently. He was dangerous when going forward and quite willing to shoot if the opportunity arose.

Jamie Hope, midfield, Pirelli: Jamie covered acres of ground and was the driving force that motivated his team. He scored two goals and set up countless scoring chances for his colleagues.

Kieran Sloan, midfield, Workington Juniors: Kieran stood out in a very good Workington team. He was quick in thought as well as in action and he made excellent use of the ball. He was also clinical in front of goal and scored three times in the tournament, including two in the final game against Carlisle City.
