Hot Scott blazes a trail

BORDER HARRIER Mike Scott scorched into second place overall in a new Lakeland road race.
The veteran Carlisle runner, pictured, also clinched top prize in the over 40s.
The Newlands Valley Round, organised by Keswick Athletic Club, replaces the Swinside Six and a 123-strong field ran over a demanding 9k course round the Newlands valley.
Winner was Steve Littler of Wesham Road Runners near Blackpool, a regular competitor in Keswick events.
