Last updated 15:35, Thursday, 03 July 2008
Annan Athletic have been voted into Scottish Division Three after a vote by the 29 clubs in the Football League.
They beat off the challenge of four other teams and will replace Gretna.
The vote was forced after Gretna went out of business following relegation from the Scottish Premier League last season.
It is understood that Annan’s facilities were felt to be the most capable of meeting the league’s criteria.
